Progression's plan

Perhaps I am afraid of writing because every time I think about it, I realize there is just so much to say and so much I would love to record, I fear I will never write enough or it will just consume too much time. This really should not deter me from doing something so cathartic and meaningful.

A few days ago, I had a great scripture study with my good friend, Chris Haueter. Being rather unable, as of late, to make the personal progress for which I have hoped, I had been thinking a lot about humility as a prerequisite to self-improvement, and thus choose it as our study topic. We read a few scriptures, discussed their meaning and applications, and even opened up "Preach My Gospel", an incredible book. I now run short on time to describe what I learned, which was the intent of this entry, but in short, I guess I had forgotten how we require humility before we can accept and make the needed changes in our lives to improve. Determination and faith is not enough if we don't have the humility to try something else and trust in the Lord. I do hope I have learned this lesson now.

That was a good scripture study.

Today I studied 2 Nephi 25, in which Nephi teaches and prophesies of Jesus Christ, the Messiah. His words are so plain and so powerful; indeed, they are "sufficient to teach any man the right way; for the right way is to believe in Christ".

How blessed we are that Jesus Christ atoned for the sins of all mankind! What a glorious and deeply meaningful blessing! He is indeed our Savior, Lord, and the Redeemer of mankind.
